EICRs

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (or EICR) is a vital part of modern-day electrical safety. Think of it as a health check on your electrical installation. This can be residential, commercial or industrial. The survey will consist of one of our highly trained engineers picking apart the electrical system looking for any non-conformities or hazards waiting to be or already being dangerous to human life or property. Using specialist diagnostic equipment, we can ascertain the health of the cabling and circuitry even if its hidden under floors or within walls. Homeowners should have this check carried out at least every 10 years with property landlords of private flats/houses as well as communal hallways in blocks of flats being every 5 years minimum. Commercial outlets should also be every 5 years at least.

Thermographic Surveys

Thermographic surveys in electrical installations are used to identify any abnormally high temperatures within distribution equipment. High temperatures within equipment are often early signs of problems, both imminent and future. Early identification of these high temperatures are important so that the issue does not escalate into something more serious. These types of survey are usually beneficial to large installations in complex environments such as patient care facilities or 24-hour operation companies where equipment cannot be ordinarily shut down. Our in-house team can advise further on recommendations with thermography and your organisation.

Fire Risk Assessment

Fire Risk Assessments are an essential part of managing both domestic and commercial properties. In particular, communal ways of blocks of flats both large and small are required to have a detailed assessment carried out in order to comply with various fire safety laws. Our fire consultants will visit the property and produce a detailed document listing all non-compliances along with practical solutions on carrying out remedial works to stay the right side of the law. If you are involved with owning and managing freehold properties then it is imperative that these assessments are kept up to date and complied with. Get in touch today to see how we can help.

Energy Performance Surveys

Energy Performance Survey’s (or EPC’s) are used to determine the energy efficiency of a particular property. They are needed when selling or renting a property and have various grades to easily explain how energy efficient a single property it. Our consultants will be able to visit and grade your property and we are then able to advise on how to increase your score. This may be by switching to energy efficient lighting or heating but whatever the outcome, we are on hand to help with improvement. Remember, a minimum of Grade E is required when issuing a tenancy to new or existing tenants both domestic and commercial.

PAT Testing Diamond Solutons Group Brighton.jpg

PAT Testing

PAT testing is the inspection and testing of portable appliances. Many insurance companies require this to be carried out on commercial properties and residential rentals. Our in-house team can ensure all appliances are safe for continued use and advise on re-test schedules. Usually, appliances should be tested once per year, but this can vary depending on a risk assessment. We carry out this service for many rental agencies as well as offices.
